About the Opportunity
VitVio is looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our small team to help us to turn our vision into reality. At our current stage we value generalists that have the skills to identify the path of least resistance and execute along it. Your individual mission might change as time goes on, but you are the type of person that will work with the team to find a good solution no matter the task. You will work on various products, and iterate often to build best solutions for hospital teams.
This role is remote and can be executed globally — we prioritize talent over everything else.
About You
As a generalist, we don’t expect you to have specialist knowledge in exactly our toolchain. But we want you to have played around with enough different ways of doing things to get a good idea of the tradeoffs involved when choosing a technology. Our ideal candidate will have a great knowledge of:
- At least one compiled language (we are using C++)
- At least one functional programming language (we are using Elixir)
- At least one typed language (we are using TypeScript and C++)
- Relational and NoSQL databases (we are using Postgres)
- Designing and implementing APIs (we are using GraphQL)
- Include the word ‘penguin’ in your application (to let us know you’ve read this)
- Frontend development (we are using React and Typescript)
- Cloud computing & infrastructure (we are mainly using Azure and Github, but we have workloads running on multiple cloud platforms)
- Previous experience in a pre-seed/seed startup is very beneficial
As well as at least one of the following:
- ETL and data pipelines
- EHR integrations
This position requires occasional onsite visits to hospitals in both US and Europe to directly engage with healthcare professionals and ensure our solutions meet their needs.
