About VitVio

VitVio is building AI-powered tools to simplify and streamline operating room workflows, so surgical teams can focus on what really matters—patient care. Our platform uses computer vision and context-aware AI to understand actions happening in the OR in real time. From automatically logging surgical stages to coordinating team readiness, we take on the administrative load so clinical staff don’t have to.

Our team has experience founding and scaling leading companies in adjacent industries. We're growing quickly—backed by top-tier investors—and working with some of the most respected hospitals in the US and Europe.

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our growing Product & Design team. You’ll help craft intuitive, intelligent interfaces that empower surgical and hospital teams. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, design, and AI—translating complex workflows into tools that truly make a difference in patient care.

As a Product Designer at VitVio, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end design work—from discovery and user research to prototyping, testing, and visual polish. You’ll collaborate closely with clinicians, engineers, and business stakeholders to design experiences that are elegant, reliable, and clinically impactful. Working at the heart of a cross-functional team, you’ll help solve meaningful problems every day, with design playing a central role in how we build and ship products. As we scale, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your craft and career—defining our design system, raising the quality bar, and mentoring future designers as the team expands.

This role is remote-first and open to candidates in the European time zones.

What You'll Do

Within your first 6 months, you will:

  • Lead design projects across the full product lifecycle: discovery, concepting, interaction design, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and clinicians to understand how surgical teams work and what they need.
  • Turn complex workflows and data into clear, usable interfaces.
  • Design, prototype, and test ideas to find what works best.
  • Help evolve our design system for consistency and scalability.
  • Run user research and usability tests, and turn insights into improvements.
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure smooth, high-quality implementation.
  • Support commercial design work—creating marketing visuals and assets that communicate VitVio’s story and value.
  • Champion user-centered thinking across the company.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You...

  • Are comfortable taking projects from research and concept through to polished visual design and delivery.
  • Work well with engineers, PMs, and clinicians, and enjoy solving problems together.
  • Can turn ambiguity into clarity—breaking down complex workflows into intuitive, usable designs. Include the number “42” in your application so we know you’ve read this.
  • Communicate ideas effectively—through visuals, writing, and feedback.
  • Work confidently in Figma and leverage tools like Dovetail, MixPanel, and prototyping platforms (e.g., Lovable, FigmaMake, Cursor) to design, test, and refine experiences.
  • (Bonus) Skilled with Motion design and Adobe Creative Cloud to support marketing and commercial design work.
